Etihad Airways, the flag carrier of the Uɴɪᴛᴇᴅ Aʀᴀʙ Eᴍɪʀᴀᴛᴇs, is the newest addition to Just Planes’ Flight in the Cockpit series. For this movie, we will travel aboard the Airbus A380 roundtrip from Abu Dhabi to Paris CDG with Captain Sophie and First Officer Shaima. Each of the women will pilot one of the flights, explain and demonstrate all of their jobs, showcase the aircraft they fly, and discuss their professional backgrounds and how they came to work on the A380.

Additionally, the cabin staff will give you a tour of the exceptional cabin, which includes the Residence, a Uɴɪqᴜᴇ bedroom, the First Apartment, and the Bar.

Ten Airbus A380s owned by Etihad Airways were grounded at the outbreak’s beginning. The airline was quite upfront about the likelihood that the aircraft wouldn’t return to operation early on. This isn’t solely a result of the epidemic’s effects; Etihad was already attempting to drastically change its business strategy before the outbreak and become a smaller, more sustainable airline.

However, Etihad’s management has not ruled out the potential of a return of the A380, with CEO Tony Douglas publicly declaring that we should “never say never.”

I’m unable to personally attest to the veracity of this report, but according to Twitter user @MZulqarnainBut1, Etihad intends to bring back at least three Airbus A380s in order to fly them to Sydney, London, and Paris.
