On the program this magnificent 16-row Vaderstad seeder for corn sowing in the Landes, this seeder has a liquid nitrogen tank to directly add the nitrogen solution during sowing. Vaderstad, one of the world’s leading companies in tillage, seeding, and planting introduces the new Tempo L 16-24 Central Fill. The capacity of the world-record planter is further improved by handling seeds and fertilizer in a bulk system. The world record for planting 502.05 hectares of maize in 24 hours is held by the high-speed precision planter Vaderstad Tempo L. The record was set in Hᴜɴɢᴀʀʏ in 2017.

According to Mattias Hovnert, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Tempo L family is expanding, and the new Tempo L Central Fill with a central hopper for both seed and fertilizer is now available. With the central Fill functionality, the farmer only needs to fill one sizable central hopper with seed as opposed to filling each of the row units. The Tempo planter will then take care of the distribution of the seeds and fertilizer to each row unit all this at world-record planting speed and precision.

The farmer will be able to accomplish even more in a single day thanks to the central fill function, which will significantly boost production and capacity. Depending on the model, the new Tempo L Central Fill will come in 16- or 24-row configurations, with row spacing options ranging from 450 to 762mm. To match the high-capacity output, the machine is equipped with a new hopper that holds 2200 liters of seeds and 5000 liters of fertilizer, making a total of 7200 liters.

Two front-mounted fans on the redesigned hopper on the Tempo L Central Fill ensure high-capacity metering of both seed and fertilizer. The Central Fill system’s technology is incredibly user-friendly. There is no central motor metering out seeds instead each row unit regulates the number of seeds needed to assist its individual high-precision PowerShot seed metering system, says Mattias Convert. The new Tempo L 16-24 with Central fill will have its premiere at the international tradeshow Agritechnica in February 2022. The machine will be available from the end of 2022.
